Amanda J. Crawford is an assistant professor of journalism at the University of Connecticut where she teaches journalism law and ethics. A veteran journalist who previously worked for Bloomberg News, The Arizona Republic and The Baltimore Sun, Crawford's scholarly focus is on the role of journalists in democracy. Her current research focuses on misinformation and mass shooting denialism, including the media’s role in perpetuating conspiracy theories.
