Born in South Porcupine Ontario, Dr. Nancy Baxter obtained her MD and her PhD in Clinical Epidemiology from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. She completed her board certifications in general surgery and colorectal surgery. She practiced as an academic surgeon for 20 years.
